JTEL Summer School in Greece

In May, Selina Reinhard attended the JTEL Summer School on Technology Enhanced Learning held on the island of Crete. The one-week program brought together researchers from around the world to explore current developments in Technology-Enhanced Learning and Learning Analytics.

The offered program included a wide range of inspiring keynotes and interactive workshops on topics such as Serious Games, Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Collaborative Learning. Methodological sessions, for example, on how to create impactful visualizations and how to utilize AI for qualitative research, also added valuable insights.

In addition to the academic program, participants enjoyed social and cultural activities, including excursions to the Knossos Palace and the historic town of Chania. The summer school also offered many opportunities for networking with fellow PhD students as well as experienced researchers, which ranged from speed mentoring sessions to informal beach gatherings.

Overall, the JTEL Summer School was a great experience that provided many new research ideas and connections within the TEL community.
