On April 2, 2025, Martina Landman from the TU Wien Informatics eduLAB conducted a workshop titled
\u201cUnplugged Power: Solving Computing Problems Without Computers\u201d
at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN)<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop focused on introducing unplugged and robotics-based activities that support the teaching of core computing concepts without the need for programming or computers. Through hands-on tasks such as a collaborative card-based sorting game and problem-solving with Ozobots, participants explored how fundamental algorithmic ideas can be made accessible and engaging\u2014especially in K-12 education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visit to the Center for Creative Learning (CCL)<\/a> at IITGN, which develops hands-on STEM resources, gave valuable insights into the development of creative, low-threshold educational tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another highlight of the visit was the opportunity to attend a student project presentation led by Sunitha Vadivel Murugan from DA-IICT, showcasing a unique and creative approach to learning about sorting algorithms through physical interaction and storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
