{"id":1395,"date":"2024-10-25T14:23:01","date_gmt":"2024-10-25T12:23:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lted.se.tuwien.ac.at\/?p=1395"},"modified":"2024-11-06T16:52:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T14:52:45","slug":"informatiktag-2024-in-baden-austria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lted.se.tuwien.ac.at\/index.php\/informatiktag-2024-in-baden-austria\/","title":{"rendered":"Informatiktag 2024 in Baden, Austria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 24th, 2024, two members of our research lab attended the Computer Science Day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocg.at\/veranstaltungen\/informatiktag-2024\">(Informatiktag)<\/a> hosted at the University College of Teacher Education Lower Austria (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ph-noe.ac.at\/de\/\">PH Lower Austria<\/a>). Together with fellow colleagues in Computer Science Education they provided a diverse program, including two keynotes and twelve workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first session, Lukas Lehner presented recent developments of <a href=\"https:\/\/edulab.ifs.tuwien.ac.at\/\">TU Wien Informatics eduLAB<\/a> in a workshop on &#8220;<strong>Machine Learning Unplugged in the Classroom<\/strong>&#8220;. By enganging the participants in hands-on activities, Lukas presented our eduLAB workshop materials on decision tree learning, designed for students in higher secondary schools. Materials are freely available for download <a href=\"https:\/\/edulab.ifs.tuwien.ac.at\/materialien\/ki_dtl\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second session gave participants the opportunity to dive into the concepts of game-based learning, serious games and gamification. Ren\u00e9 R\u00f6pke offered a workshop on &#8220;<strong>Gameful Approaches using Serious Games and Gamification<\/strong>&#8220;. Besides web-based serious games and unplugged materials, he gave insights into educational escape games, educational role-playing games and presented examples for interactive multitouch games and games in virtual reality (VR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Computer Science Day 2024 &#8211; on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/en.html\">BMBWF<\/a> &#8211; is a joint event of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ph-noe.ac.at\/de\/\">PH Lower Austria<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/phwien.ac.at\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/phwien.ac.at\/\">PH Vienna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/kphvie.ac.at\/home.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/kphvie.ac.at\/home.html\">KPH Vienna\/Krems<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.univie.ac.at\/\">University of Vienna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/informatics.tuwien.ac.at\">TU Wien Informatics<\/a> and the Austrian Computer Society (<a href=\"https:\/\/ocg.at\">OCG<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 24th, 2024, two members of our research lab attended the Computer Science Day (Informatiktag) hosted at the University College of Teacher Education Lower Austria (PH Lower Austria).
